We support a variety of charities across the UK and Ireland that help to tackle hunger and malnutrition, either through directly feeding vulnerable people or by delivering education or skills training that equip individuals to improve their overall wellbeing and eating habits. Below is a selection of some of the great charities that we support.
FareShare - The food re-distribution charity that save good food destined for waste and send it to charities and community groups who transform it into nutritious meals for vulnerable people. We have been partners of FareShare for nearly a decade and provide both finiancial help and support through our employee volunteering programme. Annually our funding equates to 480,000 meals, that are delivered to people in need all across the UK and Ireland.
Trussell Trust - A network of over 400 foodbanks, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis across the UK, where thirteen million people live below the poverty line. We are just about to embark on our partnership with The Trussell Trust.
Coram - The UK's oldest childrens charity that aims to give children the best possible chance to live a fulfiling life. We've supported Coram since 2013 to run their Life Education prokeject in the North West, with a focus on Salford and Manchester. Through mobile classrooms that visit over 31 schools in the area, Coram teach children age specfic skills on health, nutrition and understanding their bodies and since 2013 we have supported over 200,000 children a year.
SSAFA - Exists to support ex-servicemen and women and their families. Our funding specifically helps those individuals who are homless or at risk of becoming so.
Magic Breakfast - Ensuring that no child is too hungry to learn through the provision of healthy breakfast food and expert support to schools with 35% or more pupils eligible for free school meals.
Focus Ireland - Its mission is to end homlessness in Ireland. Our funding specifically supports their coffee shop which provides high quality nutritious meals to people hwo are homeless and at risk of becoming homeless.
